For the first time, new clinical research out of Canada provides evidence for a relationship between maternal vitamin D levels and select markers of infant dental health. [...] Preterm birth is associated with many health risks as well as a lower rate of infant survival during the first year of life. Women who take a multivitamin before conception have half the risk of preterm delivery when compared to those who wait until after becoming pregnant to start taking nutritional supplements.
